Unity In Praise Ensemble was organizied Feb. 2007 by group founder and present manager. Glenda A. Smith.
Glenda is the vice-president of Joglen Productions Enterprise, an independent company that produces and promote them and other artists.
Glenda is also the wife of Rev. Joseph L. Smith, founder and CEO of Joglen Productions and Assit-Pastor of Christian Stronghold Community Church of Princess Anne, MD.
The group was formed with the mission of sharing the goood news of Jesus Christ with their music.
Unity In Praise stated out with two ministers Chestina Haney, a powerful and anointed singer and musician. But because of servere health problems she after a year with the group was no longer able to travel and perform with them on a regular basis.
The other minister is Rev. Elaine Bowen who is not only a gifted singer but song writer as well.
Another former member who stated out with Unity In Praise was Norma Young a former member of another anointed group called Shekina Ensemble..
In 2008, Unity In Praise acquired another powerful anointed singer and songwriter by the name of Karen Dennis, as well as drummer Barbara Hillard.
Who both brought the talent and experince that was a great plus to their ministry.
Ubity In Praise would not be complete without the solid background vocals of Brenda Marshall and Lula Satchell. Two talented artists who round out the powerful sound of this anointed group
Unity In Praise is currently working on their first recording to be released on JGP Records sometime in 2009.
Unity In Praise already have become a reguested favorite through-out the Delmarva area, and have plans to expand their ministry as far as God will allow them to in the furure.
Unity In Praise Ensemble continue to lift up the name of Jesus as they deliver his message in song with the anointing, style, and grace, which lead Rev. Joe Smith to nickname them 'Delmarva Ladies of Gospel'
